Crossroads are important places...
| | places where people moving in different directions come together... |
| | places where people make choices. |
Crossroads provide opportunities for people to choose a new direction--or to decide to keep moving along the same path. Crossroads also offer us a place to pause--to collect ourselves before moving ahead.
Parkway Heights United Methodist Church, founded in 1949 and located near the busy intersection of Highway 49 and Hardy Street, reflects the "crossroads experience." People of all ages, from different walks of life, a wide geographic area and diverse backgrounds gather here, exploring new choices, choosing different paths, or just pausing for a moment before continuing their spiritual journey.
Parkway's crossroads connections extend to opportunities for spiritual growth. Three distinct worship services offer both traditional and contemporary ways to worship and experience Christ. Small groups, Bible studies, community events, missions and fellowship enhance that experience. Most importantly, Parkway Heights empowers its membership by encouraging them to use the gifts that God has given them to be in ministry both within and beyond our congregation.
