National Missions

He said to them, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. - Luke 10:2

Parkway Height has always reached out to others - locally, nationally and internationally. Below are some examples of our outreach within the United States.

  • Navajo mission

For about 20 years, Parkway Heights took a mission trip to the Navajo nation in the Four Corners area of the United States. Over 100 different people participated in this experience. The last year for this mission was 2016, and Parkway Heights is currently evaluating how and if we will continue this outreach.

  • The loft Mission

The Loft is a preteen ministry designed for children in 5th and 6th grades. Every other year, this special group takes part in a mission trip to learn about serving others and spreading God's love. The Loft children have traveled around the country for mission trips and most recently to Jackson to work at the Methodist Children's Homes.

  • youth missions

Almost every summer, our youth group participates in a Service over Self (SOS) mission trip. Through this ministry, our young people renovate and repair homes of economically disadvantaged homeowners in inner-city Memphis, Tennessee. Our young people have also taken part in other mission trips, such as SIFAT (Servants in Faith and Technology) in Alabama.
